Meet Amanda

Amanda received her Masters in Music, Vocal Performance from NYU in Musical Theater in May of 2017. Before that....

Amanda was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where her family still bleeds blue and gold (Go Wolverines), which made moving to California after high school graduation and attending the University of California, Berkeley a big change. Thankfully, Cal's colors are also blue and gold so the wardrobe did not have to change that much. After graduating with a degree in comparative English literature, Amanda began teaching at a private K-12 School in southern California. While teaching, she decided to pursue Community Theater until it lead to larger and larger opportunities. Some opportunities that arose were her chances to perform with the Orange County Pacific Symphony, under Richard Kaufman, opening for Katherine MacPhee and Kenny G. She was then hired back for their pops series Fourth of July spectacular where she sang the National Anthem and America the Beautiful for over 15,000 audience members at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. Then in 2014, she won the Classical Singer Convention's national singing competition in Musical Theater for Young Artists, which lead to her acceptance to New York University. In 2015, Amanda moved across the country with nothing but her clothing and began her Masters in Music at NYU Steinhardt.  Shown below is Amanda getting ready to open for Shoshana Bean and Laura Bell Bundy.  Next to that is Amanda after singing in a master class with Dr. Warren Jones and Dr. Grant Wenaus of Mannes School of Music and NYU respectively.
